Hello! I recently received some other photos from my visit to Fe y Alegria in Quito back in January, and wanted to post them here. It's always special to encounter kids like these:
A few more updates:
One is that there is ongoing discussion about forming an exchange at a distance between students from a local school in Massachusetts with the school in Chontal. There is a sticking point, that being my own availability to be present in Chontal for the time frame of September to February. So, please keep this in prayer. It would be fantastic if I could work out the personal arrangements to be there during this time1
The other is that there is discussion about the follow up to the Christmas visit to Alao, the indigenous community in the mountains. There is a potential to visit the local community in Lawrence of present on the visit in January and discuss other steps. I'll keep you informed.
There was originally a plan to lead a retreat at St. Anthony Shrine for the hispanic community on immigration and the Pascal mystery. However, that was canceled. Maybe at another point a retreat like that could be set up, as I think it's a great foundational retreat for immigrants!
Have a great spring, Holy Week, and Easter!
