Well, I did finally get my professional visa. But before I could celebrate, in the evening after I arrived in Mindo after getting it, I started to get pains in my chest.

Hello, and greetings from Ecuador. I have some sad news to pass on: María Herrera died on Saturday, December 3. She leaves 3 sons (Abimael, 18, Steven, 12, Sebastian, 9) and her husband Jimmi.

I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving. Here in Ecuador, it was a quiet day, but one of thanks: so far, friends have donated $320, and we’re on our way to reach the $1100 goal!
